Full-Stack Engineer
This is a critical role for an experienced Full Stack Engineer who will be instrumental in building and scaling our core business operations using the Frappe Framework. As our Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our ERPNext platform and other custom Frappe applications. You will ensure our operational systems are robust, scalable, and seamlessly integrated with our user-facing applications. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in the Frappe ecosystem, a strong command of Python and JavaScript, and a passion for building efficient, data-driven solutions that can support a fast-growing startup.
The successful candidate will work closely with our operations, pharmacy, and tech teams to customize and extend our ERP capabilities, directly impacting our ability to deliver care and products to women across Ethiopia.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize applications within the Frappe Framework.
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of our ERPNext system to manage inventory, e-pharmacy, supply chain, and other business processes.
- Develop custom Doctypes, scripts, and reports to meet specific business requirements.
- Build and manage integrations between ERPNext and other YeneHealth platforms, including our mobile app and web services, using REST APIs.
- Handle both front-end and back-end development tasks within the Frappe environment (Python, JavaScript, MariaDB).
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of Frappe-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues within the ERPNext and Frappe ecosystem, providing timely resolutions.
- Manage deployment, updates, and version control for the Frappe environment.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and strategy for our internal business systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the Frappe and ERPNext community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience with the Frappe Framework and ERPNext is essential.
- Strong proficiency in Python and server-side scripting.
- Solid experience with front-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with database management, particularly MariaDB or MySQL.
- Proven track record of developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in e-commerce, supply chain management, or healthcare systems is a major plus.
- A proactive and product-focused engineer who is passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world problems.
- Fluent in English
Compensation:
Payment: Salary is based on market price in the country of operation (Ethiopia). This will be determined upon successful interview.
